A Message from the Superintendent -- March 12, 2021

A Message from the Superintendent

Dear BASD Families:

Butler County remains in the Moderate Level for Community spread of COVID-19. Therefore, our mode of operation for students in the in person learning pathway for the week of March 15, 2021 will be:

Elementary students (Grades K-6): Elementary students will attend school in person five days a week.

Secondary Students (Grades 7-12): Secondary students will attend school in person five days a week.

Please note: We have a previously scheduled professional development day on Friday, March 19, 2021. Students will not have school on March 19.

Butler Eagle -- Soar: Imagination Takes Flight

The Butler Eagle is collaborating with schools across Butler County to create a weekly publication featuring content from local students and teachers. This weekly feature is called “Soar: Imagination Takes Flight” and it will be published every Friday. You can get a copy each week in Friday’s paper.

The first edition was released on March 5th. It was great to see many of our own students and educators featured throughout the publication! You can view the March 5th edition on the Butler Eagle’s website.

The second edition is out today. The Butler Eagle will continue to publish this through the rest of the school year and, if it’s a success, maybe longer! I encourage you to pick up a copy each Friday!

Kindergarten Registration

It’s that time again! If you know of a child who will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2021, it’s time for them to register for Kindergarten. Please encourage them to visit our website for more information!

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Brian J. White, Jr., Ed.D.

Butler Area School District
