There’s no doubt this has been a challenging year for most of us. From in person instruction to remote learning and back again, this year has required an incredible amount of flexibility and patience from everyone. I’m very thankful for all of you and your continued support of our students, faculty, staff and schools this year.

Summer 2021 Food Service May 26, 2021 basd food service

Beginning on June 9th, any child under 18 is eligible for free meals. Families can pick up a free 7 day meal for bundle their child/children once a week. Pickup will be every Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm at McQuistion Elementary School, newly opened Broad Street Elementary School, and Senior High School.

BASD Learning Pathway Update for Grades K-6 Apr 29, 2021 message from the superintendent

As we approach the end of the year, we are asking families to commit to their child’s Learning Pathway for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. 

If you would like to change your child’s Learning Pathway between now and the end of the school year, please submit your child’s change request by Tuesday, May 4, 2021. This applies to all students in grades K-6. 

Remake Learning Days Apr 23, 2021 Remake Learning Days

Join us for Remake Learning Days, an innovative learning festival for youth and families! This festival engages families in the new ways of learning that youth experience when they make, code, play, design, and tinker. With 150+ events across southwestern PA and hundreds of virtual events across the nation, families with kids ages pre-K through high school can easily find engaging learning activities held by schools, libraries, museums, tech centers, outdoor play spaces and other learning spaces.
