We are so excited to welcome our families back to Broad Street Elementary School that we could not wait to launch the website. However, please note that the website is still a work in progress. Much more information will be added this spring and throughout the summer. In the meantime, if you have any questions at all, please reach out by calling 724-214-3636. We are excited to inform you that the Kids’ Weekend Backpack Program will continue to service all K-4 Butler area elementary schools for the 2021-2022 school year. The staff, parents, and community of these elementary schools as well as the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation, Inc. have come together to help fight hunger. Though it seems hard for most of us to imagine, many students go home to a house with little or no food supplies. They may receive breakfast and lunch at school during the week, but when the weekends come, they are limited as to how much they may have to eat. This program is designed to assist students who may be in need of weekend food supplies. At this time, there are no eligibility requirements for participating in the program and is free to anyone who feels that their child needs something more to eat over the weekend.
