About Ms. Ferrari:
Hello, I am Ms. Ferrari, a teacher in the English/Reading Department at the Butler Intermediate High School. It is my pleasure and privilege to be teaching students with so much potential and ability in such an impressive building!
I spent the first part of my career as an elementary teacher in Grades K through 6 and the second half has been at the secondary level working with Grades 7,8, and 9. I also worked for the Program for At-Risk Students when I was first hired by Butler Area in 1997. Currently, I teach Reading 7 & 8 along with MTSS Reading Intervention.
Throughout the years, I ran a successful home-based tutorial service which spanned from the 1990s to 2016. Along with full-time teaching, I was a part-time employee for Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV teaching the GED program to residents in the Mars area as well as within the state prison system. I was also an Intermediate Unit teacher for years in a summer school program designed for at-risk students.
I enjoy rural life in southern Butler County with my husband and family. My hobbies include reading, crafts, traveling, theater, dancing, dining out, animals of all types, and visiting the special dogs at the Butler Humane Society several times a week.
I hope this information has helped you learn a little more about me. I appreciate the opportunity to work with Butler Area students and I look forward to getting to know each of them this school year! Please visit Tyler to find out more about my classes.
