Believe it or not, it is time to start thinking about kindergarten enrollment for the 2022–2023 school year. If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022, it is time to contact your neighborhood school. If you know a kindergarten-aged child in your neighborhood, please pass this flyer along to their parents.
Members of Emily Brittain’s SPARK (Students Promoting Acts of Respect and Kindness) Club got to enjoy a walking field trip to Cummings Candy & Coffee on Thursday as a reward for their hard work. These 3rd and 4th grade student “workers” assisted younger students in their classrooms each morning, helping them practice things like spelling words, math facts and letter writing. Great job!

During the 2021-2022 school year, the Butler Area School District initiated the Fishing is Fun in Butler program in several of the elementary buildings. This program was started as an extension of the Fly Tying club that has been in existence for several years at the Butler Intermediate High School, and complimented the Fisheries Science program components at both the Butler Middle School and Butler Senior High Schools.
Mrs. Tonini's 4th grade math students at Emily Brittain recently learned how to measure angles using a protractor. To practice this new skill, students had to find and measure all the angles made with tape at their seats. Next the students worked with a partner to double check their work. Who knew that measuring angles could be so much fun!
