Hello! My name is Rebekah Motta. I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach in the Butler Area
School District for the first semester in Mrs. Christoforetti's absence. I will be teaching General Music
classes at both Emily Brittian and Summit Elementary Schools as well as STEAM and Creativity+ classes at Summit Elementary. As we kick this new school year off I just wanted to introduce myself to you and tell you a little about myself and what my students can expect in my classes!
I graduated Grove City College in 2013 with a Bachelors in Music and a double concentration in
saxophone and oboe. After taking a year off I went back to school at Carnegie Mellon University
where I obtained my teaching certificate. Since then I have had a wide variety of experiences both inside and outside the classroom. Teaching is a passion of mine and am very excited to be able to use my talents and abilities in the classroom!
I am married to my wonderful husband, AJ. We have two crazy dogs, Satchmo (Louie Armstrong's nickname!) and Jazmine (or Jazz for short!) Together my husband and I love to explore the outdoors, work on home improvement projects, and cheer on Pittsburgh sports teams!
