My name is Ms. Gardner and I have been a school counselor at Butler since 2009. As a BASD alumni, I am very excited to be able to come back as an educator to help the next generation of Butler students be successful not only in their academic lives, but personally and socially as well.
I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, and a M.S.Ed in School Counseling from Duquesne University. I also have experience in the mental health field, and worked as a therapist at Western Psychiatric and as a child and adolescent case manager for Pressley Ridge.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting and hanging out with my cats Mordecai, Rigby and Binx.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you feel like your child may benefit from receiving school counseling services. I can meet with students individually or in a small group, for check-ins or for weekly appointments. I can also assist with navigating and/or locating outside resources in the comunity for your child or your family.
