The Pennsylvania Alternate System of Assessment (PASA) is a statewide alternate assessment designed for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities who are unable to participate meaningfully in the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) or Keystone Exams, even with accommodations. Participation in the PASA exam is an IEP team decision after considering all six of PASA eligibility criteria. If you have questions regarding your child and eligibility for the PASA assessment, please contact your child’s case manager or the special education department.
