The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) is a state agency that assists students with disabilities in preparing for, obtaining or retaining employment. There is no cost to apply for OVR services. OVR can provide a wide range of individualized services to eligible applicants, which may include but are not limited to the following:

Additionally, Ryan Mortimer, the OVR counselor assigned to Butler Area School District can be reached at 724-651-8713. When a student is potentially eligible for OVR services, an OVR representative will be invited to attend their 10th grade IEP meeting with parent permission. You can also begin linking to OVR services by reveiwing the following packet of information and returning the enclosed release to your child's special education teacher:
