Care and Protection of iPad/Chromebook or Chromebook

Students will be held responsible for maintaining their individual iPad/Chromebooks and keeping them in good working order.

  • Keep your iPad/Chromebook in its school issued protective case at all times.
  • Carry your iPad/Chromebook with two hands.
  • Keep your iPad/Chromebook away from liquids or foods.
  • Handle your iPad/Chromebook only when your hands are clean.
  • When placing your iPad/Chromebook on a table or desk, make sure that the iPad/Chromebook is positioned so that it is completely on the table.
  • Exercise care when inserting and removing cords and cables from your iPad/Chromebook.
  • Place your iPad/Chromebook carefully in your backpack. Make sure there are no liquids or heavy objects in the backpack.
  • Never sit on or throw a backpack that contains an iPad/Chromebook.
  • Avoid putting pressure on the iPad/Chromebook screen.
  • Avoid leaving your iPad/Chromebook in a vehicle.
  • Keep your iPad/Chromebook away from extreme temperatures. Extreme heat or cold may cause damage to the iPad/Chromebook. If your iPad/Chromebook has been in a cold environment for a long period of time, let it warm up before using it. Keep the iPad/Chromebook away from dampness or wet weather such as rain, snow, and fog.
  • Families will be responsible for any theft, loss, or damage that occurs to the iPad/Chromebook regardless of whether it occurs at or outside of school, similar to the handling of textbooks. 
  • Cleaning: The screen on the iPad/Chromebook is glass. Please use a soft cloth to clean the screen.  Do not use liquids to clean your iPad/Chromebook.
