Butler Area School District provides accident and loss protection for our district's one-to-one device program. Registering with the BASD Technology Device Protection Program and purchasing a damage waiver will protect you from the full cost to repair or replace your district-issued device (Chromebook, laptop or iPad) and limit your responsibility to per-occurrence deductible, should loss occur.
BASD students may enroll in our Technology Device Protection Program. The program is year to year, so students must enroll each school year that they would like protection for their district issued device.
What does this program cost?
The cost to purchase a damage waiver from the Technology Device Protection Program is $20 per student. If you have multiple children using multiple devices, you should purchase a damage waiver for each device that you would like to protect.

How do I enroll my device?
If you would like to enroll your student, log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account to get started. If you need help, you can view a step-by-step guide. Enrollment is open August 3rd 2026 through October 1, 2026.
When is the deadline to enroll?
Enrollment is open now through October 1, 2026. If you would like to purchase the device protection waiver, please ensure you do so before October 1, 2026. Your device damage waiver will be active for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year.
What if I have more than one child?
If you have multiple children using multiple devices, you should purchase a damage waiver for each student whose device you would like to protect. Your child -- and any device issued by the district to that child -- will be covered for the remainder of the school year.
How do I process a claim?
You can now pay any outstanding Technology Fees in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This step-by-step guide will show you how to access Fees in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Please Note: If a waiver is purchased, fees will still be visible in the Parent Portal even if the damages are covered. They will simply be marked as $0.00 owed.
