Middle School students had a unique opportunity to participate in Lunch Bunch this year. The group included 5th and 6th grade students from the life skills and Autistic support classes as well as students from general education classes.
While eating lunch together, these students got to know new friends and practiced their social language skills. The students worked on taking turns, topic maintenance, listening, and friendship skills.
“This was a very positive experience for all of the students involved,” said Mrs. Rekich, the Middle School speech therapist who facilitates this group.
The students celebrated their last session by walking to Cummings Coffee & Candy for an ice cream social.
