We are excited to announce that the Butler Area School District has partnered with ESS to help manage our paraprofessional program. Substitute Employment Opportunities 

The Butler Area School District partners with ESS to hire substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, clerical staff, and custodians.

Available positions and pay rates:

  • Substitute Teacher: $105/$115 per day (requires a bachelor's degree in any subject area or a teaching certificate)
  • Substitute Paraprofessional: $11.00 per hour
  • Substitute Clerical: $11.00 per hour
  • Substitute Custodians: $12.00 per hour
  • Substitute Nurses: $200 per day (RN Required)

Employment Clearances are required for all substitutes. However, we will reimburse newly hired substitutes for the cost to obtain clearances.
