Suicide Prevention for Educators

This 8-part course consists of 30-minute modules that satisfy the needs of Act 71 of 2014, requiring a minimum of four hours of training on suicide prevention every five years. Each class within this larger course consists of a pre-quiz, video training module, and post-quiz. All 8 courses are required to fulfill the requirements of Act 71 of 2014. When you have completed all 8 courses, please print your certificate indicating the number of hours completed and submit it to Human Resources.

Suicide Prevention for Educators Course

  • Visit the link above and register for an Account. Please note- you will need your license or certification number for your professional license or certification (PPID)

  • Hover over “Courses” in the blue menu bar at the top of the site. Select “All Courses” on the far left side.

  • On the right side of the screen you will see a blue box titled “Youth Suicide Prevention for Educators”. Select “Read More”.

  • Under “Pre-Course Evaluation”, select the blue bar “Take or Opt out of evaluation”.

  • After you complete the pre-course evaluation, you can start to work through the 8 webinars.

  • After the 8 webinars are completed, select “My Profile” in the blue menu bar at the top of the site. You can then print your certificate.
