Eighth grade students in Mrs. Walker's Family and Consumer Sciences class took time to learn about food science.

The students were given a opportunity to note the difference between quail eggs and chicken eggs. They dissected the different different parts and took time to learn about the function of each part:  Some of the parts students learned about included the shell, membrane, chalazae, yolk, thick albumen and thin albumen.
