Third grade students at McQuistion Elementary School recently got to meet some special visitors.
Adam Fleeger, a Leader Dog Ambassador, and his guide dog, Issac, came to visit the students. Adam is visually impaired and Issac helps him be as independent as possible in the community.
Adam, Issac, and Mary Ann, Adam's mother, talked to the students about the importance of guide dogs and how to act when they see a guide dog working. The students got a chance to ask lots of questions and even see Issac in action.
Meeting Adam and Issac tied in perfectly to the student's weekly reading story, which was all about helper dogs.
A special thank you to Adam, Issac and Mary Ann for visiting McQuistion!
