A Message from the Superintendent -- Sept. 2, 2020

Dear BASD Parent and Guardians:

We hope the school year is off to a great start for everyone. It has been so great to have students back in our buildings! We have a couple of updates that we want to share with you.

Health Protocols

We have received a few health related questions regarding whether or not students should come to school.

We have an at home health assessment on our website that may help parents determine if their child is well enough to attend school in person. You can complete it with your child every morning. You do not need to turn it in. However, if you answer “YES” to any of the questions, please keep your child at home.

We will share our health protocols on this page: https://www.basdk12.org/Content2/1780.

Free and Reduced Lunch Application

Our Free and Reduced lunch application is available on our website. More information is available on our website. https://www.basdk12.org/Content2/1472

Food Service for Cyber Learning Program Students

Students who are enrolled in the BASD Cyber Learning Program (fully remote or hybrid) may still register to receive meals through the district. Students will be able to pick up their meal at school each day. Families may register to pick up their meals at the school that is most convenient for them. It does not have to be the school that the student would attend. Meal delivery is not an option at this time.

More information is available on our website: https://www.basdk12.org/Content2/1778

Click to register for meals for your Cyber Learning Program student.

We hope this information is helpful! Wishing you all a healthy and successful school year!

Sincerely,

Brian J. White, Jr., Ed.D.
