IHS Cohort Schedule

Dear Parents and Guardians:

As indicated in the letter sent from Dr. White on December 11, 2020, the Intermediate High School will be shifting to a cohort model beginning on Monday, January 4, 2020. The cohort model will involve students attending two designated days per week and rotating every other Friday. Students not attending in person instruction, with the exception of Cyber Pathway students, will be attending classes via live stream.  This change is dependent on factors outlined on the chart below:

 

Level of Community Transmission in the County

6-10 students/staff in same school building who are not household contacts

  • School does not need to close

Cohort Designation (Traditional, Flexible, and Hybrid Students)

The Intermediate and Senior High School’s cohorts will be based on the student last name.  Students with last names A-K will be assigned Cohort “Gold” and will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Students with last names L-Z will be assigned Cohort “White” and will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Fridays will alternate between the cohorts.

As you know, our mode of operation is subject to change based on COVID-19 data. The schedule outlined will be our plan for as long as we remain in cohorts. If we can safely bring students back to school full time or we need to go remote again, we will let you know.  Please contact the Intermediate High School Office at 724-214-3400 with any questions or concerns.
