Senior High Earns AP Female Diversity Award

AP Course

The College Board recognized Butler Senior High School with the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for the amount of female students enrolled in our AP Computer Science Principles course. This course is taught at the SHS by Mr. Randy Gettens.

“Studying computer science can open doors for students, giving them the tools to excel, and setting them up for high-paying careers, but girls have been left behind for far too long. That’s why College Board is honoring schools for expanding young women’s access to AP computer science classes and for the important steps they’re taking to reach gender parity” (College Board website).

If you have questions about the course or would like to learn more about possibly enrolling for next year, please reach out to your school counselor or Mr. Gettens.
