Remake Learning Days

Remake Learning Days

Join us for Remake Learning Days, an innovative learning festival for youth and families! This festival engages families in the new ways of learning that youth experience when they make, code, play, design, and tinker. With 150+ events across southwestern PA and hundreds of virtual events across the nation, families with kids ages pre-K through high school can easily find engaging learning activities held by schools, libraries, museums, tech centers, outdoor play spaces and other learning spaces.

McQuistion Elementary School Families, it’s bedtime and you've just found a small bug crawling in your room. But you are afraid of bugs and cannot fall asleep! Thankfully, you can think like an engineer. Try this Maker activity on a Google Meet and you’ll be thinking like engineers, too!

You have a problem. It’s bedtime and you just found a small bug crawling in your room. You are afraid of bugs and cannot fall asleep. Thankfully, you can think like an engineer.  Engineers are people who figure out how to make things that solve problems. Try this activity as a family and you’ll be thinking like engineers, too!

This event is for McQuistion Elementary School Families only.  Materials bags can be picked up at the school or will be sent home with students who have registered prior to the event.

Special thanks to the Museum of Science, Boston, for the activity idea.

All Intermediate High School students will have the opportunity to participate in a Remake Learning Activity during Tornado Time in May. IHS teachers and students will review a variety of activities on May 11 and select one that is of interest to them. Then, the students will complete the remake learning lesson on May 13.
