Center Township students celebrated Kindness Week April 19th through 23rd to highlight the simple day-to-day acts of kindness that enable our school and community to be a kinder, safer, healthier and more inclusive place to learn and play. Each day the students participated in themed lessons and activities to emphasize the importance of kindness and reward kind behavior.
Friday was “Ride the Wave of Kindness” day. Students dressed in beach inspired outfits and learned about the importance of spreading kindness to everyone. The students were treated to Kona Ice to wrap up the week as a reward for their efforts and positive behavior.
As part of the Kindness Week celebration, CT second grade students in Mrs. Buser and Mrs. Srock’s room used the theme “Kindness Rocks!” They decorated colorful rocks that will be used in the Pollinator Garden.
