Dr. Laura Miller is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development at Butler Area School District.
Dr. Miller comes to Butler Area School District from the Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3 where she served as the Training and Consultation Coordinator. Prior to her role at the AIU3, Dr. Miller was an Assistant Principal at Forest Hills Elementary School, the Dean of Students at Forest Hills Junior High and Educational Consultant for Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8.
“I am honored to serve as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development for the Butler Area School District,” said Dr. Miller. “I am thrilled to work with our esteemed team of leaders and educators within this forward-thinking educational organization." Dr. Miller is committed to working closely with every aspect of the school community to enrich educational opportunities for all learners.
Dr. Miller earned her Ed.D. in Education Leadership and Administration from Point Park University, her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Clarion University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Robert E. Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Dr. Miller holds both her Superintendent Letter of Eligibility and her K-12 Principal Certification.
