MSA Contributes to BASD's STEAM Program

MSA, the Safety Company, has made a generous contribution of $10,000 to help grow Butler Area School District's STEAM program.

Kenneth Krause, MSA VP and CFO, and Chris Platt, MSA Global IT Infrastructure Manager, visited Butler Senior High School on Friday morning.  While they were at the SHS, they had the chance to meet with a few students from Mr. Beveridge's Engineering class and learn about what they are working on in class.

MSA's contribution was made through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. Through the EITC program, corporations are able to make a financial contribution to approved Educational Improvement Organizations (EIO). At Butler Area School District, we are fortunate that The Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation is an approved EIO and was able to help make this donation possible.

"We sincerely appreciate the generous contribution MSA made to our schools through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. Their support will help us grow our STEAM program for our students," said Dr. White, Superintendent. "I'd also like to thank the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation. Without our Foundation, an EITC contribution to our schools would not be possible."
