Makerspace Movement at Summit

Teacher Maker Day

Teachers at Summit Township Elementary School spent some time during Teacher Appreciation Week collaborating on a "Think Spring" maker project. They were asked to use creativity and work with a fellow teacher on a project with using various materials. The teacher maker projects are on display at school and have been of great interest to the students.

Maker learning has been an initiative at Summit Elementary for a few years, and teachers at the school have received grant money to continue to build up a supply of maker materials for students.

During this particular morning, our local Eat N' Park at the Clearview Mall location generously donated cookies for our teachers to create during this maker meeting.  Thanks to Eat N' Park for the support!
