On Friday, February 21st, eighth grade students were treated to a presentation by Kyle Harris, a mechanical designer from WNA Engineering.
Mr. Harris spent the school day meeting with students in small groups to provide them with information on STEM and Entrepreneurship. During this time, students viewed a power-point presentation and learned about a variety of career choices in STEM and different educational and apprenticeship paths that may lead them to careers in the field of their choice. Additionally, Mr. Harris addressed entrepreneurship and characteristics that would make one a successful entrepreneur.
We would like to thank Mr. Kyle Harris and WNA Engineering for all that they did for our eighth grade students. We'd also like to thank the school counselors at the IHS for organizing the event.
