Dear Emily Brittain Parents and Families,

As the school year comes to a close, we want to share some information about picking up and dropping off personal belongings and school materials.

Work At Home Folder Collection

Bins remain located outside of our front doors in which to place your child’s work from before our move to planned instruction.  3-5 pictures of completed work can also be emailed to your child’s teacher if that is more convenient.

Student Belongings Pick Up and Drop Off

Two months ago we left Emily Brittain with uncertainty as to whether we would be back to school on Monday or not. Little did we know that we would still be working remotely through the end of the year. With that uncertainty, many students left personal belongings behind. We have scheduled the pick-up of those belongings, along with the drop off of student textbooks, technology, and non-consumable materials for:

June 1, 2020 from 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm at Emily Brittain

An additional makeup day if you are not able to pick up and drop off materials on June 1st will be on Friday, June 5th from 1:30-4:00.

Parents may pick up personal belongings and drop off school materials by pulling into the drive from West Penn St.(typical pull in for drop off). Staff members will be located outside to direct traffic and find out student information (name/grade). Student belongings will be provided to parents/guardians and return materials will be collected. Please place return materials in a bag labeled with the child's teacher, name, and grade. There will be no need to get out of your vehicle. If you are walking, we will have a designated area for pick up and drop off of materials.

Teachers will be sending checklists of materials that need to be returned to parents/guardians prior to June 1st.

Specific Personal Items:

If you have a specific item that you know your child left behind and may be unmarked or overlooked, please email your teacher so that she can make sure to look for it and include it in the bags. Any student medications that have not yet been picked up may also be picked up at this time.

Technology devices that were borrowed by students will be collected with ELA/Math books and library books.

Thank you for your continued support and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

Dr. Pencek
