Dear Summit Parents and Families,
As the school year comes to a close, we want to share some information about picking up and dropping off personal belongings and school materials.
Work At Home Folder Collection
Bins remain located outside of our front doors in which to place your child’s work from before our move to planned instruction. 3-5 pictures of completed work can also be emailed to your child’s teacher if that is more convenient.
Pick Up and Return Materials
Two months ago we left Northwest with uncertainty as to whether we would be back to school on Monday or not. Little did we know that we would still be working remotely through the end of the year. With that uncertainty, many students left personal belongings behind. We have scheduled the pick up of those belongings, along with the drop off of student textbooks, non consumable materials, and technology devices for June 2, 2020 at Summit
In an attempt to make the pick up and return go as smooth as possible, I have created an outline below. I understand that parent schedules will not allow everyone to adhere to the times. That is okay, there are two extra days with open drop off/pick up times, we do hope to complete the majority of pick up and returns on June 2nd.
9:00 - 10:00 families in Kindergarten
10:00 - 11:00 families in 1st grade
11:00 - 12:00 families in 2nd grade
12:30 - 1:30 families in 3rd grade
1:30 - 2:30 families in 4th grade
Wednesday, June 3 1:00 – 5:00 Open drop off
Friday, June 5 – Open drop off 8:00 – 4:00
Please pull into the front of the school and stay in your car. You will be greeted by a school police officer or other staff member.
Items To Be Returned
Your child’s teacher will also be in touch through email with a specific list of materials that your child will need to return. This will include school books, library books, and technology devices.
Technology devices that were borrowed by students will be dropped off and checked with the school police officer. This includes iPads and Hotspots.
Bonniebrook Road Closure
We wanted to make sure you are aware that Bonniebrook Road is currently closed for construction. It will remain closed through July 2, 2020. To access Summit Elementary School when you come to collect your child's belongings and drop off any school materials, you will need to use Brinker Road.
