Substitute Employment Opportunities
The Butler Area School District partners with ESS to hire substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, clerical staff, and custodians.
Available positions and pay rates:
- Substitute Teacher: $100/$110 per day (requires a bachelor's degree in any subject area or a teaching certificate)
- Substitute Paraprofessional: $10.00 per hour
- Substitute Clerical: $10.49 per hour
- Substitute Custodians: $10.03 per hour

Employment Clearances are required for all substitutes. However, we will reimburse newly hired substitutes for the cost to obtain clearances.
