DEFINITION: A program for students with a disability who require services primarily in the areas of reading, writing,mathematics, or speaking or listening skills related to academic performance.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Butler Area School District provides learning support services in each school to insure that children needing this service may receive it in their home school. A student must qualify for special education services, following a multidisciplinary team evaluation, prior to being considered for placement in the Learning Support Program.
