Julie Hopp
Ms. Julie Hopp is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development at Butler Area School District. In this role, Ms. Hopp provides leadership and vision in the ongoing planning, implementation, development, direction, review and evaluation of the district’s curriculum and instructional services, federal programs, achievement analysis, research and program evaluation services. She also ensures that the district’s educational objectives are aligned to state frameworks and to instructional practices that yield the highest standards of student achievement and instructional excellence.

 

Ms. Hopp comes to Butler Area School District from Chartiers Valley School District where she was the Director of Elementary Education and the Intermediate School Principal. Prior that, she was the Primary School Principal at Chartiers Valley where she led the faculty and staff in improving instruction and achievement as demonstrated through student achievement data. Throughout the course of her career, she has received significant training in facilitating differentiated instruction and has served as an instructional coach, presenter and learning advisor on the topic. Ms. Hopp earned her undergraduate degree from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ and her master’s degree from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. She has also earned her Certification for K-12 Administrator and Supervisor of Curriculum/Instruction as well as her Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from the University of Pittsburgh.
